The NADA Foundation for Safer Egyptian Roads

World Day of Remembrance (WDR)

The World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims (WDR) is commemorated on the third Sunday of November each year – in honor of the millions killed and injured on global roads and their grieving families, friends and loved ones.

Road deaths and injuries are sudden, violent, traumatic events. Their impact is long-lasting if not permanent, especially due to the young age of most victims, the preventability of the crashes and inadequacy of available grief support.

Since 2014, the Nada Foundation has been organizing WDR events which aim at honoring the memory of the lives lost on the road, supporting the surviving victims, being their voice in shedding light on the issue and contributing to the improvement of the Egyptian road safety system.
