VIA Global Creative Contest for Road Safety
The Foundation, with the support of Total Energies Egypt, launched VIA Global Creative Contest to educate children and youth about road safety. About 1000 children and young people aged 10-25 participated in the training sessions held in Cairo, Qalyubia, Alexandria, Beni Suef, Mansoura. The young people were from various entities including youth centers, churches and mosques, public libraries, shelters for children at risk, and associations for children with disabilities. The young people were able to express their understanding of road safety in a form of a painting under the slogan of “Safe Walking”. Egypt’s Society for Culture and Development won the national competition and got qualified to represent Egypt at the international level.
