Developing the Charter of the Egyptian Alliance for the protection of Vulnerable Road Users
Building on the Memorandum of Understanding signed with our partners; Transport for Cairo and Tabdeel, the NADA Foundation has developed the Charter of the Egyptian Alliance for the protection of Vulnerable Road Users. The alliance acts as a movement that advocates for the rights of the vulnerable road users; pedestrians, cyclists, public transport users, elders, children, persons with disabilities and the two-wheel motorized vehicles. It calls for the protection of those road users who are at greater risk of injury or death in any collision as they are unprotected by outside shields and thus in high need of protection. The mission and vision of the alliance is aligned with 2030 Agenda of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as it works to serve different goals related to health, climate change, social & economic gender equality, and sustainable cities.
